Trust me, I could use this same advice. This year, I turned the big 4-0. When you combine this milestone number with a body that has carried three children, I felt less than perfect. However, on a whim, I decided to do a photo shoot of myself while my husband was on a business trip. I got my lashes done, set up my tripod, and locked my kids out of my studio. After working my angles, using a mirror I placed behind my tripod, I desperately tried to "think thin" and not roll my eyes at myself. However, after a little photoshop magic (and I do mean a tiny bit!), I felt completely empowered. I sent them to my husband, who was across the country at the time, and he fell in love with me all over again. Not only did I look beautiful, but I felt beautiful. I made myself believe this through a photograph. How could I sell a product to my clients that I have never tried myself? Ladies, I did it and so can you. Let me empower you as the woman you have become. You deserve this.
Whether you are a mother of three, a grandmother or a woman with "lots of life experience," I want to show you how perfect you are today, in this moment. Your loved ones don't care if your belly is a little softer than it once was before. They don't care if that grey hair appears a little quicker than it used to. They don't care if you haven't lost that last 10 pounds from that last baby. All they know is that your arms are meant for hugging and your eyes shine with love when they are in view. Let's capture you today, just as you are, and freeze time for your children and loved ones.
Real moms, real aunties, real grandmothers. Real women, not models.
